The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)

This video discusses the Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, which is free money available to students with high financial need. Each year, the federal government gives money to schools that participate in the FSEOG program. The financial aid offices of these schools then distribute the funds to students with the lowest Expected Family Contribution. Students may receive anywhere between $100 and $4,000 annually. The funds are distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Thus, it is best to submit the FAFSA as early as possible to increase your chance of receiving the FSEOG.
