香港街道 - 四方街 (上環) | Hong Kong Street - Square Street (Sheung Wan)

四方街是上環一條短小的單向行車，成”L”字形的街道，在荷李活道上，樓梯街的西鄰，太平山街的以下，東街的東鄰。 鄰近的太平山街開設不少文青店舖和西式餐廳；相較之下，四方街的人流較少。

街道命名原因不詳，有說是因為四方街附近設有廣場（square，有指即「卜公花園」），遂命名為 Square Street，但譯者把街道的中文名稱誤譯為「四方街」。但資料顯示四方街/Square Street之名於卜公花園未出現之前已見於文獻，所以英文街名中的「Square」不可能指卜公花園。又有人推測四方街的曲尺形街道，四四方方的轉角位是街道的特色，亦有可能以此原因命名。

Square Street is a short and one-way street with an "L" shape in Sheung Wan. It is above the Hollywood Road, on the west side of Staircase Street, below Victoria Street, and east side of East Street. There are many hipster style shops and cafes on Tai Ping Shan Street. In contrast, the flow of people on Square Street is not much.

The reason for naming of the street is unknown. It is said that the square corners are characteristic of the street, so it may be named for this reason.
