Israel has provided significant humanitarian assistance to Druze communities in Syria, with 10,000 aid packages delivered over the past few weeks, as confirmed by Israel's Foreign Ministry on Thursday, March 13. The aid, which includes essential items such as oil, flour, salt, and sugar, has been mostly sent to the southern Syrian province of Suwayda, an area affected by ongoing conflict. The Ministry also released footage of the aid packages being prepared for shipment, with Reuters verifying the footage’s location. In addition to the humanitarian aid, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz announced that Syrian Druze would be allowed to enter and work in the Golan Heights, a region captured by Israel in the 1967 war. A delegation of around 100 senior Druze leaders is also set to visit the Golan Heights this week.
