For this one I started out making the beat. While it's not exactly like the original, I made it work my way. Since this song is in A minor, we have a kickdrum tuned to an A note and some high toms jumping between A and E (first and fifth) making it flow. We got a simple piano sound and pad that are moving between A minor, G, F. The bass in the first half of the chorus holds the A note while the piano and pad plays A minor, G, and F (this is such an 80's trick) up until the last half where it starts following along the piano and pad with the root notes creating a sweet climax. Also we got an arpeggiator dancing around here and there. As for the vocals, pretty simple, just one lead vocal track and two dubs. Compressed, reverbed. Some delay action as well.
