"A Felszabadulás dala" - Hungarian Communist Masterpiece

"A Felszabadulás dala" (Song of Liberation) is a communist Hungarian patriotic song. It was first created during Rákosi Mátyás's rule in order to celebrate Liberation Day on April 4 when the Soviet Red Army drove the Nazis away from Hungarian territory in 1950. It was written and composed by Hungarian musician Ernő Rossa (1909–1972).

Let us sing about Liberation Day,
Overjoyed, we are now free—hooray!

Cannons roared and artillery shrieked,
Pierced our ground and our souls piqued.
Yet the Soviets saved us from harm's way,
And now hatred has faded away.

Let us sing about Liberation Day,
