Hurrah for hardy geraniums!

Описание к видео Hurrah for hardy geraniums!

Hardy geraniums are fantastic plants. They are not only incredibly useful in a border they are also beautiful and flower for ages.

Choose your hardy geranium carefully as they vary in height and spread. Some are compact while others are large and sprawling and need space.

Geranium ‘Johnson’s Blue’ is one of my favourite hardy geraniums. It flowers a bit earlier than some of the other hardy geraniums which is a plus but for not so long which I don’t mind because I love the colour of the flowers, it’s a really good blue.

I recommend Geranium ‘Johnson’s Blue’ for front of the border or to underplant roses.

Hardy geraniums work well in most planting schemes from cottage garden to contemporary ornamental grasses.

I’ve combined Geranium ‘Johnson’s Blue’ with Salvia ‘Hotlips’, Allium ‘Purple Sensation’, cistus, Verbena bonariensis, Aster frikartii ‘Monch’ and Geranium ‘Rozanne’.

All these plants are best suited to a sunny border.

This border will give colour and beauty from early summer to autumn.
