Nickelodeon/Nick at Nite "Promo Feed" (January 1, 1990)

"During most of the 1980s and 1990s, on the first Monday of each month at 6:30 am Eastern Time, the Nickelodeon cable network (U.S.) aired what was called a promo feed. This was a thirty-minute show featuring nothing but 30-second and one-minute program promotional clips for Nickelodeon (early morning, afternoon and early-evening kid's shows), Nick Jr. (late-morning shows for pre-schoolers) and Nick At Nite programs (prime-time and overnight classic reruns). This was done for the benefit of cable system operators, who would record the promo feed, then insert the various promo clips into their advertising on their other cable channels. The Nickelodeon promos were considered some of the slickest-made and most entertaining on TV at the time. The one featured here was recorded on New Year's Day 1990 (ignore the January 5 date at the opening title of the video, for that is an error on my part)."
