About this video: This video is our complete guide on how to download and install Forge for Minecraft in 2024. This will allow you to play Minecraft Forge mods for any version of Minecraft you want. First things first, you will need to learn how to download Forge for Minecraft in 2024. You can find a link in the description above to download Forge. That will take you to our text guide for getting Minecraft Forge. This is helpful as it ensures that no matter what this guide will work for you using Forge with Minecraft as it is always up-to-date to the most recent Minecraft version.

Once you are there, click the “Download Forge” button to go to the official Forge download page. On this page, you will need to get started by selecting your Minecraft version on the left-hand side. This will be the version of Minecraft you want to play Forge with.

After you do that, come under “Download Latest” and click the “Installer” button. This will take you to AdFocus. On this page, just wait 10 seconds and click the red “Skip” button in the top right to start downloading Forge. You may need to keep or save Forge depending on your browser.

From there, we can move on to how to install Forge for Minecraft in 2024. This is very simple, but you will need to have Java downloaded and installed. There is a guide on how to get Java in the description above.

With Forge downloaded though, right-click on it, select “Open With”, choose “Java”, and click “Okay”. The Forge mod system installer will open. From there, click on “Installer Client” and click “Okay”. Forge will now install. The only reason it wouldn’t is if you have Minecraft or the Minecraft Launcher open, make sure both of those are closed, or if you haven’t played the version of Minecraft your are install Forge for, you will need to do that before it can be installed.

At this point though, you should see a “Successfully installed client profile Forge” message. Click okay, and you can close the Forge installer and delete it.

Now, open the Minecraft Launcher. To actually use Forge with Minecraft in 2024, you will need to play Minecraft using. In the Minecraft Launcher, click the arrow next to the play button and select the “Forge” installation. Then, click Play. You will have to click Play again confirming you are playing modded Minecraft. At that point, you are good to go! Minecraft will now open with Forge installed.

To play Minecraft with Forge mods, make sure that the mods you are downloaded are for the Forge mod loader. There is a another mod loader called “NeoForge”. NeoForge mods will not work with Forge, so make sure you are getting mods for the Forge mod loader.

Also make sure that they are for the Minecraft version you are playing Forge with. It has to be the exact version as well. 1.20.1 mods will not work in 1.20.2 or 1.20.4. Mods will only work in the specific Minecraft version the support.

Once you have your mods and Minecraft open with Forge, click on the “Mods” button on the main menu. Then, click the “Mods Folder” button in the bottom left. This will open your mods folder. Any Minecraft Forge mods you want to install can be added here. Make sure to restart Minecraft with Forge after adding mods.
