India has stepped up efforts to bring back its citizens stranded in Nepal following days of violent clashes that led to the toppling of the KP Sharma Oli government. An uneasy calm prevails in the country, with curfews in several cities, though flight operations have resumed at Kathmandu's international airport. Civil Aviation Minister Ramohan Naidu announced that additional flights are being arranged, with Air India and Indigo deploying special flights at special fares to assist in the evacuation. Stranded Indians, some of whom have been stuck since September 8, report being confined to their hotels on the advice of the Indian Embassy. One person made an appeal, stating, "Indian government se yehi request hai Modi sarkar se jald se des wo hamein aise nikalne ke liye kuch ye madad kare."
