Video shows the electrical connections to jump start a Harley Davidson with a flat battery.

The owner uses crocodile clamps with two leads one coloured red the other black.

the red wire should be connected to the positive side of the circuit.

the black wire should be connected to the negative side of the circuit. The frame and any metal parts are negative.

before starting out the bike in gear and roll it backwards and forwards, put it in top, 4 or 5th gear.

now put the transmission in neutral and press the starter button

the reason we put it in gear and rotate the engine is to minimise the stiction and lube the parts.

plus then we know the engine is turning over and there is compression we know that from the resistance we feel when pushing the bike. you only need to rotate it enough it moves.

these bikes are heavy so be careful don't drop it!
