Handmade in Stockport, UK, the Chewed Tape Effects Junkfuzz is a Bazz Fuss fuzz circuit inside a recycled 1590BB sized enclosure for that "messed up" look! the Bazz Fuzz is known for its gated, almost synth like sound, however I have used a different transistor to "standard" Bazz Fuss circuits, which results in way more sustain and a much more useable pedal! 

PLEASE NOTE: all components used in the making of this pedal are brand new except for the enclosures, which are recycled from old pedals. They were originally spray painted and lacquered, and now have scratches, chips, peeling lacquer and extra holes (which are covered on the inside with clear plastic windows so don't worry about dust getting in), hence the name "Junkfuzz". So if you like your gear a bit messed up lookin', these pedals might be for you!

All of my components are sourced from UK specialist electronics websites such as bitsbox.co.uk, CPC.co.uk and farnell.co.uk, so you can be sure that only good quality parts go into my pedals. I do not buy cheap bulk parts from eBay/Amazon - every Chewed Tape Effects pedal is built as though I was making it to go on my own pedalboard.

PLEASE NOTE: A 9v DC centre negative power supply (not included) such as a Boss PSA 230 or equivalent, is required to power this pedal. There is not a battery clip inside.

Who am I?I started building pedals because I just couldn't seem to find the tone I wanted, so it was either that or start moving into the realm of high end boutique pedals, which wasn't really an option financially. As one of those people who is constantly fiddling with amp and pedal settings, it just made sense and from day one I was hooked. I was convinced the first pedal I built was going to sound awful (if it even worked at all), but the lpb-1 clone I had built from a kit massively exceeded my expectations. Many builds later, I decided to start altering component values, swapping diodes and transistors etc. to get that perfect tone I was looking for. I finally had a finished product which became the Trigger Cut Fuzz, and I was so happy with it that I decided to make 5 to sell, and chewed tape effects was born!
