Filmed Oct 23, 2024. Michele and I rolled up to the Cattaragus two different times in the week prior, but weren't able to get on the most popular community hole due to people beating us there. This wasn't surprising to us as much of the great lakes region was in need of rain and people were already driving a few hundred miles in search of fishable water. On this day we arrived extra early for what would turn out to be the greatest day I've ever had on the tribs. With just my third hookup of the day coming at 8am, it would be my biggest to date. He showed off his aerial skills and powerful runs all around the hole we were fishing, but when it was all said and done, I came out on top.

This particular fish was so fun. I made a great cast just below the tree near the top of this long slow moving hole and was able to get my bait down quick enough to where this beast was hiding.

It was 2-2.5" above the hook and pegged it to my line with a NOVA Pro bead peg.
