JIMMIE VAUGHAN TALKS ABOUT CAR CUSTOMIZER GEORGE BARRIS

This is a clip from my forthcoming documentary on legendary car customizer George Barris. It shows music icon Jimmie Vaughan discussing Barris and how much of an influence Barris was on him and on the entire car industry.


George Barris and his brother Sam pioneered the world of custom cars when they started modified cars in their Sacramento body shop in the 1940s. They moved to Los Angeles where George would take the photos and create the hype and Sam would do the body work. Their work was featured in Hot Rod magazine and other publications and they became the originators of customer car designs that still influence modern cars.
