SpreadSimple is a great tool that uses Google Sheets to power no-code websites. There are definitely some limitations here, but I find SpreadSimple to be a well-thought out product that has a lot of use cases. Today we look at scheduling events through SpreadSimple.

When I saw this deal in the AppSumo store, I immediately thought of 3 use cases. In our first video, we created an AppSumo like affiliate marketplace. In this video, we mimic the Acuity scheduler on a client of mine's website. In the next video, we will look at how to update listings for a local business listings site.

Acuity does provide many advanced features that you may not feel comfortable replacing with a Google Spreadsheet. If you are just using it on the FREE plan or for basic tasks, I think SpreadSimple may be a valid replacement - especially considering they have a Calendly integration coming soon. With Integromat and automation based tools like Zapier, we can even update a calendar or do virtually anything - including SMS text message reminders.

I won't be doing anything too advanced with my automation at this point, and if you truly make a ton of money off of tools like Acuity (they are core functions to your business) then I would never recommend leaving what is working. Where I think SpreadSimple can offer value is for testing Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) and for replacing monthly payments WHEN applicable. Some clients find updating a spreadsheet to be easier than navigating the back-end of "Acuity" or "WordPress" or calendar apps.

My client is very non-technical so I thought this would be a perfect alternative that can easily replace her monthly recurring (if she elects to go with SpreadSimple) and teach her to update the Spreadsheet instead of dealing with the backend of Acuity (which she occasional struggles with).
