How does Azrael (AS) take people's souls?

Azrael (AS) is the angel of death. Allah has given him the responsibility of taking people's souls. He takes people's souls at the appointed time. There are detailed descriptions about him in the Quran and Hadith.
How does Azrael (AS) take people's souls?
When someone's death is determined, Azrael (AS) takes their souls. The souls of the righteous people leave sweetly, while the souls of the sinners leave painfully.
1. Death of Believers
According to an authentic Hadith, the souls of believers emit a sweet fragrance when they leave their bodies. The angels honor them and give them the good news of Paradise.
2. Death of Sinners
On the other hand, the souls of sinners are dragged out harshly. The angels are angry with them and act harshly.
The Quran states:
"The angel of death, who is in charge of you, will take your souls. Then you will be returned to your Lord." (Surah As-Sajdah: 11)
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said in a hadith, "When a believer dies, the angels take his soul in white clothes and give him the good news of Paradise." (Muslim)
Azrael (peace be upon him) takes the souls of people according to the command of Allah. For the righteous, this is a moment of peace, and for the sinners, it is a difficult time. We should prepare for death in this life by doing good deeds. May Allah grant us all the tawfeeq to do good deeds. Ameen.
