He has launched a successful Cinematography Drone Company working for Hollywood Blockbusters and sporting events. He is also a professional drone racer and was crowned World Champion in 2018 and has a growing YouTube channel. He also consults for various businesses associated with drones.

Paul shared with me his story on how he went from computer engineer working the 9 to 5 to following his passion. He shares career advice and what it takes to be a professional drone racer.

To give you some details of my goals for this channel and audio setup - I started podcasting in October 2020 and my aim is to share the stories of people who have decided to make their own way in life and escape the regular 9 to 5 job. Hopefully, this encourages and inspires others to do the same thing. Think of it as an unorthodox and casual career service. At the moment it’s just an audio recording captured, but as this evolves my aim is to capture a visual recording too.

As I am sure you can tell by the sound quality there is room for improvement! I would love to have the money to invest in proper equipment but I don’t, so I make do with what I have. The resources I have at my disposal include a 2013 iPad Pro which is how I create and distribute the video / audio elements of my Podcasts and videos, using an app called LumaFusion. The process involves captured the sound on a iPhone 7 using a voice record app. The guest then sends this via email, after we have had our conversation via Zoom. All ‘artwork’ is created on an app called Procreate, then imported into LumaFusion to animate.
