Wie stolz in die Lüfte der Adler sich schwingt,
so fliegen wir aufwärts voll Wonne!
Propeller, sie dröhnen, die Erde, sie sinkt,
wir grüßen die goldene Sonne

und greifen kühn nach der Sterne Heer,
wir fürchten nicht Stürme, nicht Länder, nicht Meer:
Wir schweben in leuchtenden Sphären,
nichts kann unsern Willen beschweren!

Wir tragen die Lasten der Erde nicht mehr
auf wiegenden, silbernen Schwingen;
wir jagen durch Wolken und Nebel einher,
im Herzen ein heimliches Singen.

Die Heimat bleibt unser schönster Traum,
wir kämpfen für sie im unendlichen Raum:
Wir schweben in leuchtenden Sphären,
und wissen uns tapfer zu wehren!

Und ruft uns zum letzten Apelle der Tod,
die Freuden Walhallas zu künden,
dann fliegen wir siegend ins Morgenrot,
