Obituary for Mr. Kermit Brown Sr.
Kermit Jerome Brown, Sr was born on November 29, 1940 to the late Samuel Williams and late Alta Brown Manning. He departed this life on Friday, September 1, 2023 at ECU Health, Greenville, NC.
Kermit graduated from E. J. Hayes High School. He went on to further his education at Martin Community College where he received multiple Associates Degrees. Kermit decided that he wanted to serve our county and joined the US Airforce. He met his wife, Joan Peele and to this union they reared five loving children.
Kermit work career after service begin at Weyerhaeuser in Plymouth, NC. He decided that he wanted something different in life and begin to work at TRW, Greenville, NC as a supervisor and retired from there. Kermit loved to bowl and was on The Williamston bowling league.
Kermit, our father was a likeable person, and he never met a stranger. He was always the life of the party. He loved all his grandkids and was a great provider for them.
Kermit was preceded in death by his sister, Gloria Davis.
Kermit leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Joan P. Brown of Williamston, NC; his children, Kermit Brown, Jr (Mary) of Washington, NC, Keith Brown (Tonya) of Williamston, NC, Katonia Brown of Greenville, NC, Keya B. Cale (Dwayne) of Winterville, NC, Klavon Brown (Patricia) of Greenville, NC; grandchildren, Keith Jr, Kemadick, Romona, Lashanna, Kaneya, Klavon Jr, Jahquarious, Nakyah, Jamira, Jalyn, Kevon, Aaliyah, Jamari, Mason, Brionna, Dytavious, Jeremiah, Gabriel; special friends, Nia W. Williams (Travis), Jeremiah Woolard (Shannon), a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
