► The Prime Minister has promised an extra 5 billion pounds to the military over the next two years to face what he says is a "more volatile world". Some of Rishi Sunak's own MPs wanted him to go further though.

The announcement happened as part of a trip to California for security talks with US President Joe Biden and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albaneesee.
