In West Bengal, there are large varieties of handicraft items, which are scattered mostly in the rural areas of different districts of West Bengal like terracotta, dokra, brass & bell-metal, conch & sea shell work, wood carving, horn crafts, glass work, cane & bamboo crafts etc.

In this video, I tried to make the resemblance of the Face of Maa Shyama Kali with homemade Shola Pith Crafts Kulo Design Clay Goddess Kali Face- Wall Hanging. I made the face of Maa Shyama Kali with paper instead of clay and the Kulo or the winnowing fan is made with newspapers instead of cane & bamboo...

The 'Kulo' or 'koola' or 'Baran Dala' or the winnowing fan is a container made of bamboo. The winnowing fan is used to separate the chaff from the grain and also have a great use in festivals and marriage ceremonies.
