This walk in the middle of Lake District starts from Glen Mary car park , not too far from Tarn Hows. You can also start from National Trust car park at Tarn Hows.
You will pass waterfalls and get to Tarn Hows. From there the path leads to Coniston through the woods and open fields. That path is very quiet and most likely you won't encounter anyone on the way.
Coniston is a good stop to rest and have something to eat or drink.
From there you will have around 25% walk left back to the car park.
