In this video we put ChatGPT-5 Thinking and Claude 4.1 Opus head-to-head in a real-time coding showdown! One prompt equals one game in this vibe coding challenge. Plus, I demo Claude Code, Anthropic's new command line tool for building software with AI.
These are the prompts we used:
1. Tetris - HTML/JavaScript 🧩
"Build a fully functional Tetris game in a single HTML file. Include: all 7 standard tetromino pieces (I, O, T, S, Z, J, L) with proper rotation, 10x20 game grid with pixel-perfect collision detection, line clearing with cascade animations, increasing speed/levels as score grows, next piece preview, hold piece functionality, ghost piece showing drop location, responsive controls (arrow keys + spacebar), game over detection, and score display. Use modern JavaScript and make it visually polished with smooth animations."
2. Flappy Bird - SwiftUI/iOS 🐦
"Create a complete Flappy Bird clone in a single Swift file using SwiftUI. Include: a bird sprite with flapping animation and physics, procedurally generated pipe obstacles with gaps, gravity and jump mechanics with realistic physics, collision detection with game over, score counter that increments when passing pipes, simple restart functionality, and smooth 60fps gameplay. Add particle effects for flying and crash animations."
3. Robotron Arcade - PICO-8 🤖
"Create a Robotron style twin-stick shooter in a PICO-8 script. Include: player character that moves with arrow keys and shoots in 8 directions with X/Z buttons, waves of enemies that spawn from screen edges (basic robots, fast interceptors, indestructible hulks), screen-wrapping movement for player and enemies, power-ups that increase fire rate or add spread shot, humans to rescue for bonus points, particle explosions when enemies die, screen shake on player death, wave counter with increasing difficulty, lives system, and high score tracking. Make it feel chaotic and intense with lots of enemies on screen and satisfying shooting feedback using PICO-8's limitations and doing it all programatically.”
