In this beginner-friendly guide, I break down the basics of fueling for long runs—in plain English. Whether you’re training for your first 10K, half marathon, or just want to run longer without crashing, this video will teach you:

✅ Why you need to fuel
✅ When to start fueling
✅ How many carbs to take per hour
✅ What types of food and products work best
✅ And what I personally use on my long runs!

From gels to fruit to fig bars and sports drinks, there’s no single "right" answer—you just have to experiment. I show you exactly what I took on a recent 1 hour 45-minute long run and explain why I chose what I did.

30g of carbs every 30 minutes
➡️ That could be a gel, 2 mandarins, or half a fig bar.
