Project LAAN is a movement initiated by a group of Ateneo students and faculty seeking to improve the health of Filipinos by harnessing the power of innovation through social media.

We feel that merely studying and researching diseases is an insufficient response to the Philippines' growing health problems. Rather, we believe that what is needed to address the increasing burden of disease in the country is innovation and entrepreneurship in health. Hence, we initiated Project LAAN, an innovative means of increasing resources for health.

We want to utilize our social networks to raise funds for the health insurance premiums of communities in the Philippines.

It only takes $30 or PHP1200 to sponsor an entire family's healthcare for a whole year. That's $0.1 or PHP4/day. :) Can you give that up to fight poverty?
