Another patient struggling with grief and financial stress after his brother's death is given a four-week sick note for "breathing space." A mother brings in her toddler with a recurrent ear infection and worrying episodes of going "limp and floppy." Other cases include a patient's nausea after a course of steroids, a painful ingrown toenail requiring a procedure, a man with back and urinary pain possibly caused by a kidney or water infection, and a doctor's concern that a patient's chest pain and fatigue may be linked to anaemia caused by his prostate cancer.
