Hemiunu was the architect in charge of building the Great Pyramid for Pharaoh Khufu. Hemiunu was Khufu's nephew and the grandson of Khufu's father Sneferu. Hemiunu's tomb, G4000, bears several unique relationships with the Great Pyramid, as if Hemiunu was letting it be known secretly, yet in plain sight, that he was the author of the Great Pyramid.

There is a special horizontal cross section of the Great Pyramid which Hemiunu has filled with significance. AIP Director Larry Pahl will guide you through a very interesting story in this video, part 1 of a two part series on Hemiunu and the Great Pyramid.
