8 total acres of testing the no till water. I haven't done this before. So far, it looks better than the previous renter's attempt at continuous insurance claim no till and no chemical beans. Maybe one day I'll get to all no till, but much of the land I rent is because I do tillage and plant non gmo. So far, the non gmo part is surviving the no tillage. The only extra chemical so far is the round up. I am hoping to be done with herbicides on this field for the year and only have to apply more nitrogen. Breaking down all that grass will tie up N for a short while.
Well, we forgot the water, but that's ok, because the rest of planting season went smoothly and quick. Earliest I have ever finished planting. Now I can edit videos because it's Ohio and it always finds a way to rain. Now we can't kick a stranded low. We're not drowning, but plenty dreary and not dusty. Froe cast looks like at least another week of grass growing, wet weather.
