The impact of this result has been far and wide, with global markets hit and the UK Prime Minister David Cameron announcing his resignation.
Jack Hands, journalist and policy advisor to the European Parliament joins us from London.
Jack, While America slept and Asia worked, the shape of Europe changed. It sent and continues to send shockwaves throughout the globe because the latest poll numbers heading into the vote showed the remain camp in favor.

How is Britain reacting to this decision? The 'remain' camp was just as big as the 'leave' campaign.

So, what happens now that Britain has voted to leave the European Union? What's next? Do we expect other countries to follow suit?
