Hiking and Camping at the Highest Point in Southern Wisconsin [Blue Mound] - 4K

Описание к видео Hiking and Camping at the Highest Point in Southern Wisconsin [Blue Mound] - 4K

Located about 25 miles west of Madison, Wisconsin, Blue Mound is the highest point in Southern Wisconsin. This Wisconsin State Park offers over 20 miles of hiking trails, hike-in/bike-in campsites, access to the Military Ridge State Trail, and even a swimming pool!

Perhaps the highlight of the park are the twin observation towers, offering scenic views of Wisconsin's "driftless area." If you're interested in geology and rock formations, the park has an interesting geological story, which you can learn more about on a self-guided trail with interpretive signs. There's also a natural spring and spring house!

In this video, I hike the Flint Rock Nature Trail, the Indian Marker Tree Trail, and the Spring House Trail. I also visit both observation towers! After the hike, I spend the evening at one of the park's hike-in campsites.

As always, our hiking and backpacking videos are filmed in 4K Ultra HD. YouTube will automatically tailor the video quality to your device, but we suggest viewing on your 4K-compatible television, or device, for best viewing results.
