With the health of Earth ecosystems at their lowest in human history, systemic risks to business and the economy are increasing, emphasising the urgent need to halt and reverse biodiversity loss globally. Yet nature is still undervalued and a substantial finance gap remains. Biodiversity credits are gaining momentum as one of the instruments that can help mobilize capital for biodiversity conservation and restoration. This emerging market is undergoing rapid developments and many initiatives are focusing on integrity and transparency to ensure the market can deliver on its potential. 

This session will bring together stakeholders from across sectors to take stock of the current state of the market and conduct a horizon scan to define the gaps and areas of development for the future viability and success of the market.
