Soft Baiting For Snapper in 3 Metres of Water! Fishing the Far North with the Okuma Pro Team - EP75

We made the huge trip to fishing paradise in Northland to target big snapper in the shallows with the rest of the Okuma Pro Team. Geared up with the brand new season of rods and reels from Okuma and an abundance of Savage soft baits, we spend two days working the coastline and harbour with a few familiar faces onboard.

The first day of the trip sees us battling with the wind and rain while fishing from the 510 Kingfisher around a rocky coastline. Despite the adverse conditions, we manage to get hooked up to some great snapper… and get smashed by a giant!

On day two, we're onboard the Fishy Business walk around Stabicraft casting soft baits in the harbour with Adam Clancey, Lance Gill and Jacob Willets. After getting into the kahawai early in the day, the snapper start coming through thick and fast, as well as one of the most prized catches in this area - the mighty trevally.
