Panch Prayag is the confluence of five sacred rivers Vishnuprayag, Nandaprayag, Karnaprayag, Rudraprayag and Devprayag in Uttarakhand. These rivers merge to form the holy River Ganga who is worshipped as the life-giving goddess. Panch Prayag in Uttarakhand (Vishnuprayag, Nandprayag, Karnprayag, Rudraprayag & Devprayag), is a group of five sacred river confluences. These five Prayags are named after the respective rivers that meet at each of these confluences. The five Prayags are considered very significant in Hinduism, and are important pilgrimage sites for Hindus.

The five Prayags in the order of their flow of the river Ganges are:

Vishnuprayag: The confluence of the Alaknanda and Dhauliganga rivers.
Nandaprayag: The confluence of the Alaknanda and Nandakini rivers.
Karnaprayag: The confluence of the Alaknanda and Pindar rivers.
Rudraprayag: The confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers.
Devprayag: The confluence of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers which together form the Ganges River.

Devprayag is considered to be the most important among the Panch Prayags as it is the starting point of the Ganges River. The other four Prayags are also believed to be very significant, and are visited by thousands of pilgrims each year.

we explore the sacred Panch Prayag in Uttarakhand! In this episode, we start from the spiritual city of Rishikesh, where we embarked on our adventure. Witness the awe-inspiring Dev Prayag, the fifth Prayag, where the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers unite to form the divine Ganga.

At Dev Prayag, we immersed ourselves in the divine ambiance, visiting the revered Ragunath Temple, the sacred Sangam, and the soul-soothing Ram Kund. We also found tranquility at the peaceful Dhaneswar Mahadev Temple.

Next, we continued to Rudraprayag, another sacred Prayag, where we visited the historic Rudranath Mandir. The knowledgeable mandir pujari enlightened us on the significance of this ancient temple. We also explored the serene Chanmunda Mai Temple at Sangam, which left us in awe of its spiritual aura.

As the sun rose, we were spellbound by the beauty of Rudraprayag Sangam, the confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. Finally, we ventured to the revered Koteswar Mahadev Temple, situated about 5 km from Rudraprayag, experiencing its divine serenity.
