Abodo Wood Cladding - Isle of Jura House Build

We chose thin vertical profile Abodo wood cladding from @glenalmondtimber. We’d never heard of it either lol!!! It was a last minute change from larch and a bit of a risk as we’d never even seen it before but 😍 it’s beautiful and clever grooves of knot free wood that is already weathering nicely (although I love the red too!)

400mm spaced battens and counter battens screwed in (with the worlds most expensive screws 😳) means these boards aren’t going anywhere! Fire stops, insect mesh ... the detail and work behind the cladding is immense to keep it attached, resilient and us safe if there’s a fire.
