Electric Cafe's Tim Humphrey reviews and scores New Order's 1993 album Republic.

Tim's Album rating system:
90-100: Legendary status (You use it as the example for a genre / You even buy it for someone else)
80-89: Excellent. (An excellent complete album in so many ways. Hard to fault much here if anything. Each increment is more excellent)
70-79: Very Good (U have this on multiple formats. The album has some really excellent songs. It has some minor flaws or a few average tracks)
60-69: Good. (Some good things and perhaps a few excellent tracks but then there are some not so good moments)
50-59: ok (You are a completist on collecting so you might pick it up for a decent price. You might almost like half of the tracks. The other half is just ok)
40-49 - below average for the group, nothing really very good. Its mostly in the below average to ok range for the most part
30-39: Just not my thing (if you had a 'NR' rating option but you don't so you just put it in this rating range. Inside this scale there is room to rate them based on other factors like production, talent etc)
5-29: Crap (You catalog the artist in your brain as crap so you never make the same mistake again and listen to them. The varied sliding scales allows your detest for that artist to manifest itself out when they are mentioned or played again. They can proceed down to 2-4 if you get spammed by them or you read some article on them and how they cured the world from cancer etc)
3-4: Complete shit
2: Offending (You hide it in the record shop preventing other people from buying it. )
1: You start to question the world.
