Pahimis 2014

Amadel, Cavite again celebrates the annual thanksgiving Pahimis Coffee Festival. Pahimis Coffee Festival aims to encourage local growers to religiously plant more trees to strengthen the coffee industry in the province. This event showcase different activities which emphasize the culture and livelihood of Amadeo folks and the continuous appreciation of the people on the abundance of coffee and other agricultural products in their area.
The celebration kicks off with a thanksgiving mass on the 12th, followed by the flag-raising ceremonies and a contest proper for the Festival Jingle, slogan, essay and poster. On February 13, a grand parade of float and street dancers will highlight and open the day's celebration to be followed with the formal opening of the trade fair, and launching of various organic products locally grown in Amadeo. There will also be a demonstration of coffee roasting procedure and presentation of the contestants in Mutya ng Pahimis 2014. Program proper will start at 9:00am with the awarding of the Outstanding Coffee Farmers 2014 and the inauguration of the Amadeo Coffee Development Building. At 1:00 pm, there will be simultaneous on-stage performances of the street dancers and coffee farm tour.
For a healthy heart staying in love, on the dawn of Valentine, February 14, a fun-run event dubbed as "Takbo para sa Kapihan II" is set off at 5:30 am. It will be followed by a seminar on organic farming at 1:00 pm and a dance contest at 6:00 pm. The last day of the coffee fest is a major program blast-off with the motorcade of beauties and grand coronation of Mutya ng Pahimis 2014. A fireworks display at 10pm will conclude the program.
