Booktok on TikTok has immense power in the book world. So I wasn't surprised when a viral TikTok lead to Alex Aster selling her book for six figures. Now she has sold the movie rights to her book Lightlark to Universal, and Tiktok is starting to ask more questions about Alex and how she got her book made, and they are calling industry plant.
