Blue Peter's Lindsey Russell is out of the Blue Peter Studio and is in a field with cow muck spreader to find out about BIG climate change issue... SAVING OUR SOIL.

Lindsey is meeting Farmer Lewis who runs an organic farm in Cheshire, so soil is super important. Lindsey finds out why COW POO - also known as manure or cow dung - is SO good for our soil. It basically has LOADS of nutrients, which is great for helping all the plants and crops grow. The alternative being to use chemicals to fertilise the crops which contributes to greenhouse emissions, which in turn leads to global warming.

🌽 A staggering 95% of food we eat comes from the soil, that's why it's SO important to look after it.
⚽️ Every minute, 30 football pitches worth of soil are being lost to soil erosion.
💯 It takes around 100 years to create half a cm of new soil.
