IT offers a powerful tool for Indigenous peoples to create solutions for their own communities. At Monash University’s Faculty of IT, Indigenous researchers are already leading projects such as:

Developing the world’s first charter for Indigenous peoples with out-of-home care or foster experience
Designing new recordkeeping frameworks, protocols and models to uphold Indigenous data sovereignty
Creating technologies within Digital Health to support the hearing and mental health of Indigenous children.

The Faculty of IT invites you to ‘Indigenous Futures in IT’, an information session for Indigenous Australians interested in Master’s or PhD study in technology where you will:

The event is hosted by Professor Chris Lawrence, Associate Dean (Indigenous) at the Faculty of IT, and opens with an address from Professor Tristan Kennedy, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous) and Senior Vice-President at Monash University.
