Change Agents from Icon Health, AHRQ and NORC at the University of Chicago join CIVHC to discuss the different ways they are using data to understand physician practices in Colorado, as well as improving patient outcomes specific to orthopedic care. Presenters Jennifer Smith, Ph.D., Principal Data Scientist from NORC and Herbert S. Wong, Ph.D., Director of Statistical Research and Methods at AHRQ discuss their initiative to address gaps in current physician and physician practice data through the development of a research database. Duncan Sibson, MBA, COO and CO-Founder of Icon Health, discusses the complexities of health care and the opportunity to implement value stream mapping to improve patients outcomes and experiences.
