How this piece came about. I had an idea to use an existing works rhythm and change everything else, the melody, chord structure, scales, key etc. In order for this to work the piece has to have a variety a rhythms. Beethoven's music fits quite well. And i chose Fur Elise a well recognized classic. At the same time using the exact rhythm means it possibly can sound "copied", however, this is what makes it an interesting challenge. Surprisingly, this piece took me only two hours to write. But, orchestrating and producing it took 24 hours. In the end, I think the piece sounds totally modern and i hope everyone enjoys it.
