Hey, everyone! Welcome back to my channel! It's your girl Ashanti, and today, we have something super special to talk about. I just had the most amazing dinner date with my little man, baby Kareem, and his dad, Nelly. So grab your tea, because I’m about to spill all the juicy details about motherhood, family, and everything in between!
Let me set the scene for you. We decided to have a family dinner at this cute little restaurant downtown that serves the BEST soul food. You know I love my comfort food! Nelly and I wanted to make it a special night for Kareem, especially since he’s growing up so fast!
*Ashanti:*
Kareem was just adorable, sitting there in his little high chair, eyes wide open, taking everything in. I swear, every time he tried a new bite, it was like watching a little food critic in action!
*Ashanti:*
So, we ordered a feast—fried chicken, collard greens, cornbread, you name it! And of course, I had to get my favorite mac and cheese. Nelly and I were reminiscing about our childhood favorites, and it just felt so good to share that with Kareem.
*Ashanti:*
Kareem loves the collard greens, which I thought was hilarious! I mean, who knew my kid had such sophisticated taste? It’s those little moments that remind me how important it is to create lasting memories as a family.
*Ashanti:*
And you know, while we were eating, Nelly and I started chatting about parenthood. It’s hard, y’all! Like, seriously, I never knew how much work it would be.
*Ashanti:*
I mean, I love every minute of it, but let me spill the tea—there are days when it feels overwhelming. Between juggling my career and being a mom, it’s a constant balancing act. I’ve learned that it’s okay to ask for help and lean on your support system.
*Ashanti:*
Nelly is such a great partner in this. He’s always there to step in when I need a break, and that’s something I truly appreciate. It’s all about teamwork, right?
*Ashanti:*
Now, don’t get me wrong! There are so many fun moments too. Like, after dinner, we decided to play a little game. Nelly and I were trying to teach Kareem how to clap his hands.
*Ashanti:*
Seeing him get the hang of it, and then just burst into laughter, was priceless! Kids have this incredible ability to bring joy out of the simplest things. It’s a beautiful reminder to not take life too seriously.

I also realized during our dinner that it’s important to celebrate the little victories. Like when Kareem finally said "Mama" for the first time! I mean, I was ready to throw a party!
Every milestone, no matter how small, deserves recognition. It keeps the spirit alive and reminds you why all the hard work is worth it.
