We’d like to invite you to an interview with Christiane Seehausen from the Nansen Center for Peace and Dialogue.
The NCPD worked with the opposing groups in the Balkans in the 1990s, including the conflict between Serbs and Albanians over Kosovo. Its methods were nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize (Steinar Bryn and his activity within the NCPD has been nominated seven times).
The Nansen Center for Peace and Dialogue has been continuously operating for 30 years, training facilitators in Afghanistan, Colombia, Kenya, Ukraine and Iran.
The interview will be conducted by Maja Zabokrzycka, the House of Peace (Dom Pokoju) Foundation president, who gained her skills as a facilitator in the program “Turn off your ego, understand the other” organized by the Nansen Center.
The interview will include the following topics
What are the limits of dialogue and what completely excludes it?
Is it possible to return to it in time?
Is dialogue possible within the struggle for respecting human rights?
How can one build a space for conversation during highly escalated conflicts?
What’s the work of peace makers in post-war regions or during ongoing conflicts?
How to conduct a conversation between people with extremely different views?
What should the stages of such meeting be like?

Christiane Seehausen
Senior Advisor - Nansen Center for Peace and Dialogue
Christiane is a trained nurse with a bachelor’s degree in Multi-cultural understanding and further studies in organizational leadership, pedagogy, coaching and development. She has for several years worked in Nicaragua and later as a director for municipal integration centre for refugees in Norway. She has taken part in a national team for developing the Introduction program for refugees in Norway, and implemented it in Lillehammer municipality. In cooperation with Eastern Norway Research institute and Inland Norway University for Applied Sciences, she developed and implemented an education program in cultural competence and later worked as a trainer around the same topic. Christiane has developed and implemented dialogue trainings in Europe, Latin America, Africa and Middle East, and is facilitating dialogues in different contexts in Norway
Maja Zabokrzycka

Foundation, journalist and PR specialist by education. She also deals with facilitating dialogue and transforming conflicts based on the Nansen Center for Peace and Dialogue methodology.
