I am an extrovert. Life has been a beautiful adventure since leaving my traditional PR job to pursue art full time (the dream!). But the hardest part has been going from a calendar full of meetings with coworkers to... just me. I derive so much energy and joy from being around people so it can feel jarring when the only "person" to chat with during the workday is my studio cat, Earl.

This transition has so many questions swirling in my head. What are the superpowers of an extrovert? What are the superpowers of an introvert? How can I be more fluid and recharge while alone just as I would around people?

I'm learning to soak up all the nutrients from being on my own. I'm becoming more comfortable with this introversion/ extroversion dichotomy and I'm letting it fuel my work.

I'm calling this series "Nourishment." Just as food and sunlight and fresh air nourish our bodies and give us energy, so can time spent with our people and ourselves.
