Fireball XL5 The Day the Earth Froze

Presenting Fireball XL5 "The Day the Earth Froze". Revenge is a dish best served cold. With its crew knocked out by a coma ray, Fireball XL27 crash lands at Space City. At the crash site, Colonel Steve Zodiac finds in the pilot’s hand a cryptic message “Planet Zevia Danger!” Commander Zero orders Fireball XL5 to investigate Zevia, an uninhabited ice plant. On Zevia, the evil Jedim, who want to destroy all earthlings, construct a base beneath the frozen world and shoot a deflector ray to block the sun’s rays from reaching earth. Temperatures plunge and everyone on earth is freezing. Can Steve, Venus and Professor Matic find the hidden base and stop the deadly revenge of the Jedim. This is a color animated remake of the UK children’s show Fireball XL5, created by Gerry & Sylvia Anderson, which featured marionettes. Produced by AP Films and distributed by ITC Entertainment, it appeared on US television from 1963-1965 on NBC. Voices, sound effects and music are from the original TV broadcast. There are slight alterations for creative license.
