Short, medium and long-term corruption trends for Lithuania and other Western European/EU countries are presented in this video using scores published by Transparency International in their Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) 2023 report.

The video reviews Lithuania’s performance in addressing corruption in the periods 2012-2023, 2018-2023 and 2022-2023.

Lithuania’s CPI score recorded a favourable improvement in 2012-2023. The country’s CPI score steadily improved throughout 2012-2022 before a small decline occurred in 2022-2023.

The rate of change in the country’s CPI score exceeded the rate of change in average Western European/EU and global CPI scores in 2012-2023 and 2018-2023 but the reverse outcome arose in 2022-2023.

Lithuania’s CPI score exceeded average global CPI scores comfortably throughout 2012-2023 but was continuously below average Western European/EU CPI scores in this period. #corruption #lithuania #westerneurope
