Jared at Academy Trained explains how and why we use redirects when moving through a canopy. One of the key benefitsof SRT climbing is how easy it is to redirect the primary climb line for safer work positioning. Primarily redirects are used to prevent large swings and improve rope angles so the climb line is not pulling the climber out of position when tensioned. There are many different ways to redirect, and this videos demonstratesa few common, simple methods.
