When Sierra Ferrell called to say she had someone she wanted me to meet, well I had to have known it would be interesting. When we arrived at her house we met a Québécois man named Petunia, with an unusual style and unique voice that has haunted me since. He gave me two of his previous albums on vinyl, and I have to say I've been spinning them relatively nonstop, only stopping to spin them on Spotify when I leave the house. Maybe I should retrofit my car with a vinyl player. Anyway, the genre-bending band is truly fun, unique, and danceable too.

Since this day, we've heard from folks in the know all over about their adoration of Petunia and his wide berth of stylistic influences. He puts on a helluva show, and no less here today.
