How Blast Furnace Ironmaking Works

Blast Furnace ironmaking accounts for around 72 % of global steel production owing to its ability to produce large quantities of high-quality iron which can then be converted into high-quality steel. However, Blast Furnace ironmaking also accounts for around 90 % of the steel industry's carbon dioxide emissions and around 6 % of global greenhouse gas emissions (across all sectors).
