Sovereign Hill is an open-air museum set in the Australian 1850s and depicting Ballarat's first ten years after the discovery of gold in 1851. The site comprises over 60 historically recreated buildings, with costumed staff and volunteers.

The video (my longest so far) takes you through life in the 1850s and 60s showing the early life, gold digging and the developed town as well as crafts of that time: lollypop making, candle dipping, a blacksmith and a tin smith. Also the bowling saloon, schools, the theatre and the hotel are shown. A highlight is the demonstration of pouring a 3 kg bar of gold.
