We travel from Bangkok to Hua Hin for 88 baht on the "Standing" Train. A Class 3 railcar designed for CHEAP but slow travel throughout Thailand. Did we end up with seats?

Fortunately the train was relatively empty on this Tuesday morning, it was a very comfortable ride from Bangkok to Hua Hin only taking 4.5 hours to complete our journey. Although I made a large mistake thinking there would be vendors coming through at stops. We were only greeted with one opportunity for some small dumplings which we bought without hesitation.

After arriving in Hua Hin, we quickly dropped our bags at the hotel, and ran for the beach. Mina loves the beach, she was so happy swimming around the warm, beautiful waters of Hua Hin Beach. We found the perfect beach location, not too busy behind the Centara Resort.

After going for a swim, we relaxed in the sun for a couple hours. After which we were starving. We knew we had to try one of the premier pier restaurants Hua Hin has to offer.

Mina and I ordered an absolute seafood feast, featuring Rock Lobster, King Prawns, Papaya Salad (Som Tum), and Crab Fried Rice. All for only $32 when all was said and done. Considering the atmosphere, and quality of the food we felt it was an extreme value.

Finally, we capped the night by walking on the pier and looking at the stars. This was the perfect day, join us as we explore Hua Hin for the first time.
